Vivid kaya 45 or Magico A3

I am looking for a new speaker to replace my 803d3’s. I don’t need the lowest frequencies in my 14 x 19 ft room. And i want a slightly quieter, more honest sound. So, what would be a good replacement?

Can someone tell me about differences in sound?

- vivid kaya 45

- Magico A3

My amps are: pass labs xp12, Bryston 14bsst2

cd: simaudio 650d, Bryston bcd3.

thanks in advance!

@sbwheelrepair Wilson, very nice speakers. I have listened tot them a few times. They are unfortunately outside my budget (in Europe the Sabrina V is €38k).

I will also start looking into Tad speakers.

@Dokosan: the sealed nature is indeed an advantage.
@soix: Joseph Audio speakers are almost unavailable here in Europe.

@audiogek perhaps you can audition DALI’s new Epikore line? The advantage of being in Europe is that there are a few in mint (or near mint) condition at very nice prices, like this one DALI Epikore 7 walnut.  This is the (significant) upgrade from the Epicon line, which was already very much in line with what you describe you are looking for sonically.

And of course, being in Europe, maybe you can find a Borresen model that you like at more attractive prices than available in the US.

I would definitely buy one of the several used YG Acoustics Carmel 2s for sale on-line or the Ascent over the Magico or Kaya.

@audiogek    Synergy is what you need to figure out.  A high wattage Bryston amplifier might perform better with a warmer "thicker" type of loudspeaker. Dynaudio would be one example.

@dayglow in my opinion a preamp particular determines the color of the sound. My Pass Labs preamp is on the warm (a bit like a tube amp) side, the Bryston is more neutral.
So I think a need a neutral speaker.
