The Music Room is Slipping

I cannot recommend doing business with them any longer. They DEEPLY lowball you when you sell them gear and then forget all about the mass profits they made on you when you are looking to buy something from them, They offer to stand behind a purchase, yes... but the reality is that it is all about max profits on used gear and lack of any sort of support or consideration going forward. They are nothing more than a pawnshop for audio gear and I am done with them.

"And what did you learn?"

It's been days! Indicative of the OP's lack of sincerity.

i recently contacted them about a pair of speakers I have. Figured they would sell for around $12k. They offered me a consignment deal in which in which I would make $8k on a $12k sale. $4k profit to sell my speakers was not acceptable.

I remained patient and was able to sell them for $11,900 on my own. Took 6 months but well worth the extra money in my pocket.

Recent experiences with them have resulted in no deals due to the high profits they are seeking. Buying from them is probably fine.

$4K profit? WOW!

You think TMR operates on zero overhead costs?

6 months.... How many Tire Kickers did you deal with? Any Low ballers? How much time do you think you spent dealing with potential buyers? Time is money if you are running a business.

How did the buyer pay you? PayPal, Credit Card?

Were the speakers shipped to the buyer?  I assume all went well and the buyer was a happy camper. What IF...

To stay in business a retail store has to have more money coming in the door than going out the door. Profit is the bottom line after all overhead costs have been paid.

"And what did you learn?"

I have learned there are a few people here that share my take, and many more that don't. It does appear that quite a few have seen a shift in how TMR does things. Hopefully my original thoughts help TMR refocus a bit, and people at the very least go into dealing with them with open eyes instead of the seemingly blind trust many had in the past.

Call it what you will... I would rather sit back and listen to the music than engage with every post that disagrees with me. Life is way too short to constantly engage in the senseless. Agree with me or not makes zero difference in the grand plan of the universe.
