What is the most preferred revel or jbl speaker you have owned and why do you prefer it

I spent a couple days at Axpona a few years back. Excluding speakers exhibited on the lower floors, Magico, etc, I heard nothing that bettered (within reason) the Salon 2’s. Possible exception being the Perlisten S7T (subs required).

That said, comparing speakers set up in a motel room to Salon 2’s optimized with abundant power in an acoustically treated room may not be fair. 

Revels heritage speakers have been hard to improve on.

I’ve never heard the Salon 2s but would love to. I was just curious if Rockport speakers were on your comparison list. 

I had the Revel F208 and a McIntosh MA352 integrated hybrid and then wanted to upgrade the system, so I got a McIntosh MC462 SS amp with a SS pre amp, and Sonus Faber Amati's.  It was such a change but so harsh that I had to return everything.  

Then I got the Studio 2's, which sound great, but thought they needed a bit more power.  So yesterday, I got the MC462 again but this time paired it with the C2800 Tube Pre amp.

OMG

Solid and warm, but with so much detail.  Quiet and open soundstage.
