The f208s have a wide sound stage

They're designed using waveguides that narrows the soundstage to improve focus. Just to set your expectations, but that's how generally horns and waveguides work.

I briefly had the JBL Sovereigns S7R (I think).   The ones with the JBL 375 compression horns and 075 bullet tweeters.  They were the only speakers I’ve owned that seemed to sound good with most any electronics.

I also briefly had the Metregon stereo speaker but didn’t care for it.  After I sold it I was told that you had to raise the front of the speaker (in relation to the rear feet) to get the best sound.

In the summer of 1974, purchased a Pioneer SX-838 receiver, a Dual 1229 TT, and a pair of EPI tower speakers. After a few months, I happily sold the EPI's to a friend and bought a pair of JBL L-88's from a slightly older acquaintance, and I was in heaven. The L88's are similar to the L100, but hove a ported 12" woofer and adjustable tweeter (via a knob on the back of each speaker), wheras the L-100, also known as the Century, included a midrange driver. My L-88's had the wood on the bottom two thirds of the front grille with a 12-inch diameter cutout in front of the woofer, and fabric on the top third vcovering the tweeter. Yes, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Kansas, BOB'S "Secret Treaties," Black Sabbath's Master of Reality were well played and well heard. My dorm room was a very popular place most nights. Years later, I was forced to downsize, and went for JBL Ti-14's, or thereabouts. The Ti stands for the titanium tweeters. They were OK, but the thrill was gone. Later got a pair of Von Schweikert stand mounts, but I eventually ditched those too, and replaced them with Sony R-10 headphones, with ear cups made from the wood of the Zelkove tree, which grow only on the northernmost island of Japan. Recently replaced with Dan Clarl Audio Stealth closed-bacd headphones, and I got my musical mojo back, sort of like the JBL-88s that only I can hear!

I had a pair of L112’s I bought in Germany when I was in the Army. Had them for years. Loved them.

Other thing about speakers playing good is also about with synergy of the system. I’m saying this because right now I’m currently with Harbeth on my living room drive by Luxman before that I tried Stenheim aluminum two, they have super micro detail and very good soundstage, but after 30 minutes I start to be tired and headache. SoI switch it again with my Harbeth and everything was nice and natural again.
