Deoxit and then Stabilant 22 coating with q-tip or the brush they provide.
Every 6 months, if I am good ;-)
(New Years' week and Fourth of July week are easy to remember...)
I actually just found some Audio quest cleaning solution and a bottle that a body of mine gave me years and years ago and it basically dissolved all the gray oxidation on contact on my old Yama dog CR 2020 I hope it’s not taking any of the metal away but they were pretty ugly looking now they’re just pretty. I actually think it might’ve made a little difference with the photo connections. I’ve been using them to AB a couple of turntables I had sitting around I wanted to get rid of and it definitely made a difference for them. In the end, I think any decent contact cleaner that doesn’t dissolve plastic will probably work, but I definitely touched on a subject with a lot of opinions and there’s a lot of interesting information to digest from all of you so I appreciate it. Cheers! And happy listening! |
@johnnotkathi great news. I'll have to order some. My last RCA cleaning tools were a weird semi hard white material. Thanks for the update, aldnorab |
