SHARE YOUR SACDs THAT SOUND FANTASTIC!!

I am starting this thread at someone’s suggestion, and it was a VERY good suggestion!  Share the title, artist, and the SACD issuing company of really good sounding SACDs you've spent some time with.

I’ll get the ball rolling...

"WHITES OFF EARTH NOW!" by The Cowboy Junkies: MoFi.  Unfortunately, out of print, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at paying a hundred bucks for a copy due to the music and the sonics.  In my opinion, it sounds better than "Trinity Sessions".

"THE GIRL IN THE OTHER ROOM" by Diana Krall: Verve.  Coming up with the second was harder than the first because there are many to choose from.  This SACD is warm, palpable, punchy, dimensional, with truth of timbre in spades.  Very intimate sound.  As a system becomes more transparent, so does this disc, seemingly without end.

I won’t share any more because I don’t want to be an SACD hog.  LET’S HEAR ’EM!!

@hifi1967 I went to edit my answer to you but I can't so you are getting another response to your question.  The Rumors SACD has no Japanese writing in the insert or anywhere on the SACD.  However, the Supertramp SACD is a Japanese Import and the insert is in Japanese.  You are correct that these Japanese made SACD's don't have the same quality sound as the ones made in the USA.  Get the Rumors SACD that is not the Japanese version and you will be much more happy.

I recently purchased a Marantz SA-KI Ruby SACD player, and the sound quality has driven me into a collection frenzy of SACD/CD media.

I have a few that stand out so far, including Bill Evans - Explorations, Diana Krall - Live in Paris, and Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms.

Surprisingly, even Redbook CD’s sound better on this player, so I’ve also been acquiring quite of few of these. Chick Corea’s Return to Forever and his Five Trios box set are both fantastic.  It’s a Rabbit hole, really!

Congrats Duelin59, Ruby is an amazing sacd player and Redbook player. Venus , and Esoteric sacd are superb but pricey.

A timely subject. I upgraded to the new PS Audio transport and DAC last year.

As mentioned already the Elton John series from the early 2000’s are really good and also have 5.1 mixes. All the Stones I have on SACD sound really good. They have a nice balance. Besides the ABKCO series, the 40th anniversary box sets for Beggars and Let it be included SACD’s with both mono and stereo mixes and are excellent.

I like the Santana MoFi’s but the Sony Japan series from 2020 that is housed in 7” single packaging and includes all the mixes you want are exceptional. Lotus is revelatory.
