@seasidelps thank you! I will tell the tech this, but still - wouldn't touch it myself. I think the power button is the weakest part of this generation, I had the A3.2 and it was tricky too. @thecarpathian I wasn't complaining, as we all know: it's a choice. But seriously. craigslist is fine, yes, there are creeps and jerks, but I never risk more than I can live with losing. |
If I may - when you speak to your new tech, you may want to confine your comments strictly to symptoms you have observed. There is no better way to antagonize a tech, mechanic, etc. than to regurgitate uninformed Internet advice in front of them. Unless you want them to charge you an extra $100 to test random components armchair experts pointed at.

I think I am perfectly within my lane to tell the tech (humbly and respectfully of course) what I learned. Obviously I am not fixing it, not capable of fixing, have no desire to fix it, etc., I am seeing him to let him fix it. If the tech gets upset, that’s good feedback. I am not his shrink but his customer. |
