Who gets to use your Turntable?

I had a 'friend' that I regularly conversed with in the local park. Topics ranged from poetry to literature to music. Then his mother, whom he lived with, died. I felt sympathy for him and said he could visit if he needed support.

He showed up and I offered to play one our mutual favorites on my TT. Then he lost it. He went over to my TT and asked how much the cartridge costs. I gave him a figure and he then jabbed at the cantilever before I could react and destroyed the cartridge. I gently talked him down and got him out of my home.

The next time I saw him he claimed to be penniless. I filed a provisiomal police report. They threatened him with arrest. I gave him a deadline to reimburse me and as it approached I asked him if he had contacted his home insurrance agent. He showed up. Of course he was clueless about audio but it did not take too much to convince him to pay. Thank goodness for insurance helping us to maintain some sense of civilzation.

For some reasom I have the willies when guests are in my Room!?!

@singingg Your's is not a happy story.  I can't imagine someone doing something like that.  You have every reason to have the "willies."
