Indeed. Reflections in fibre optics. Not Ethernet purification via fibre. I'm surprised nobody has jumped on the bandwagon selling a polishing kit for audiophiles or an audiophile fibre optic purifier / cleanup / anti-reflection device.

I think the internal reflection is a part of the design for guiding the light within a fiber optics cable. If you have the back reflections due to a bad connector or spices that can be taken care of by simply replacing the cable. I’m guessing because practically speaking, it hasn’t imposed actual effect on the sound quality so … but if it does you are given away free idea for the manufacturer. |
