Ø Audio anyone?

Anyone have any experience with their speakers?

@tlcocks They are a pretty amplifier friendly load at 92db and 8ohms, so I’d think your Bryston integrated would be plenty of power at 135WPC. As far as sonic signature/matching goes, my dealer doesn’t sell Bryston but they’ve sounded good on all of the various amps I’ve heard them on... The Boulder 1162, D’Agostino Momentum M400 monos, and my lowly (by comparison lol) Odyssey Kismet monos. I have heard the bigger Verdandes on Boulder as well as Accuphase amps and they sounded good with both of those - with the Accuphase being a bit warmer. Compared to my old Magepan 3.7i’s they definitely ask a lot less from my Kismets (big difference in operating temperature). I kind of want to play around with different amps now that I don’t need an arc reactor to drive my speakers anymore smiley

For anyone else reading this post, there is nothing "lowly" about my Kismets... They are basically the same as Klaus’ personal amps which means they are in the larger Stratos cases, have the large GenII transformers, 35 K Hypercaps, WBT Topline connectors, and all of the various upgrades on the boards themselves (Symphonic Line caps, etc). As for the issues Ø Audio had at Axpona last year with the Boulder 1162 going into protection, I never personally witnessed that when I was in the room - nor did it happen while we were using the same model of amp at my dealer. I know hotel power has been a problem at Axpona (and other shows) in the past, so maybe they were dealing with some kind of temporary undervoltage issue which caused it?

I purchased the Icon 12s last summer. I have been very happy with them. The standout feature for me is their relaxed, smooth sound. There is no loss of detail with this sound signature. All the usual audiophile attributes are present (imaging, soundstage, etc.) They play loud when in the mood (100+ dB) with no change in sonic character.
They replaced Perlisten S7ts which are excellent speakers. I wanted to try a horn speaker with a big bass driver. These fit the bill. The horn has never called attention to itself, always smooth and well integrated.

Driving them with a Hegel H30, PRIMARE Pre35, Hegel HD30 DAC, and HIFI Rose RS130 streamer.
