Silversmith Audio Fidelium 6 years later, thoughts?

I have Fidelium’s that I recently reinstalled in one of my systems and find they are still highly competitive. While I haven’t recently auditioned other high performing but value oriented cables recently, the Silversmiths are very good and come closer than you might expect to my other cables which are vastly more expensive. 

They are certainly better than anything I heard from the big names from their mid ranges offerings on down.

I do have an objection to them however - the way they attach to binding posts is clunky. And they cannot be used with some binding posts. If you have an amp with a binding post needing bananas or bare wires - look elsewhere (or you’ll have to adapters). And, the jumpers for bi-wire capable speakers is equally maddening. Doable but VERY clunky as you try to ensure you have good contact on your jumpers and the speaker cables as you bind them in your posts. 

I already have them and like the sound very much, but I cursed every time I had to do anything associated with a binding post.

Yeah - a first world problem. Woe is me. But thought you should know.

I've had mine several years.  No plans to upgrade.  They replaced an older set of Synergistic Research cables.  The Fidelium were a huge upgrade to them. I have no other comparisons. 

I'm fortunate that the binding posts on my amp and speakers work fine with them, but I can imagine it being an issue with some. There is an adapter available, but I didn't need them. 

I think they are one the best buys in audio.

Synergy always plays a part in any system, so one guys "wow!" may be another’s "meh.". I don’t try to get caught up in measurements, because typically they are useless-I recall when researching these that one guy in some forum was overly concerned about how much more he had to turn his volume up to get the same sound pressure as his last speaker cables, so the resistance must be really high for the Fidelium’s, who cares! Just use your ears! I have used these on several different amplifiers, on 2 different sets of speakers 85db/2.83v/m and 98db/m, in 2 different rooms, and they sound exquisite in any permutation. 

They replaced well regarded cables costing twice what these retail for, and recently I picked up a set of very expensive cables from a highly regarded cable only manufacturer, used price for a 2m set is around 6K, and I am currently going back and forth to determine a preference- undecided. 

So yeah, absolutely they still hold their value 6 years later, and probably 10 years from now. I just wish they were more durable for their "connectors", because there are no connectors, although Jeff can re-terminate for a small fee.
