ZYX carbon fibre stylus vs boron

Haven't heard them but curious as to how they sound ... want to hear from owners and your opinions on sound quality ... thanks

I think most readers know what you actually meant to ask.  Problem is that not many own the ZYX with CF cantilever, apparently.  I can say for myself that I generally have not liked the CF effect in audio gear (tonearms and speaker cabinets, usually, and also plinths), except maybe with CF headshells.

Not sure how long ZYX has been using CF cantilevers .It seems they must be doing something right , they have so many new models to choose from , with CF cantilevers and stopped using boron .

Brand Aside

Cantilever material is selected for a selection of reasons.

One being an Ideal material with suitable properties as the mechanical link.

Two the material is able to transfer certain frequency more effectively than another. This property allows for Cartridge voicing of the Cartridge to occur.

Boron tends to enable upper in the range frequencies to become prominent.

Aluminium has similar effect but this transfers to the lower frequencies.

CF will no doubt be mechanically sufficient, but how it voices is not known to myself.

I’ve never heard or researched CF cantilevers, this popped up from 2008
