Mod for an Oppo 205d

I want to use the Hollo Audio Spring 3 KTE as the Dac for my Oppo 205d. And I want to use the I2S connection. 

Now I have visited Oppomod.com and saw the I2S converter card that can be installed that will allow the 2 units to be used through that connection. But from the list of Oppo models that the card can be used in the 205d is they only one not on the list. I have sent a message to Oppomod.com to see what they suggest. Haven’t heard back yet so I thought I would come here to to see if the vast community on the forums might have any insight.

There are I2s converters available that can be used between the 2 units but I have no clue as to which ones are any good and which are junk, or if they are all junk.
