I am really happy with the G5’s. My listening is mostly BeBop Jazz, but I listen to pretty much everything else except rap and the G5’s handle everything without breaking a sweat.  Once I got them dialed in, I almost completely forgot I had a subwoofer.  I’m guessing that the best bang for your buck would be to buy the model before the G’5 could be bought very reasonable and and you’ll get 98% of the sound.

And oh yeah,  I think that SF was being proactive on their pricing increases. They jacked up the prices before the tariffs were in effect as far as I know. 

Only audiophiles could take an innocuous discussion about a a new venture in the hifi business that most of us will surely never patronize and turn it into the internet equivalent of professional wrestling. When the "idiot" taunts come out, the shark has been jumped. The Orwellian masters in the newspeak command center will erase this little corner of the hifi world if we don't channel our inner Dr. Toole and be nice. Its just listening to music. Sgt Hulka once said, profoundly, "Lighten up Frances." He was very wise.

In the event that a modest call for civility is unappreciated, my apologies-carry on. Its all in good fun and we are free to decorate our rooms as we choose. Enjoy the music.

The 2% is pretty important. It's like having a really really nice cake and then it gets screwed up when the frosting isn't done right. I could scrape off the frosting and probably be satisfied and happy. But eventually, or more likely right away, I'd be missing really nice frosting. And then having a really nice cake with really nice frosting makes everything else a lot nicer and in the end that's what it's all about.

My journey is learning acoustics and optimization process necessary to makes possible for any system/room at any price to reach its optimal working peak...

My journey was never about purchasing  X number of dac, Y number of  amplifier,  Z number of  speakers...

Most of my purchaset were necessary  mistakes or trials and errors  by ignorance about acoustics and  fourfold process of optimization, ignorance reinforcing the belief that sound experience come from brand name, price, or just design gear choices...

It is marketing conditioning belief... (any gear design choice will be less impactful at the end of the process than acoustics ,psychgo-acoustics parameters, DSP, mechanical and electrical synergy and optimization...

Buying is not  really learning and cannot replace it ... We must buy to start the learning process by optimizing and learning how to do it with what we have not by buying new gear ...Upgrade must stop the sooner the better once we decide to study and experiment with what we already have...

If not we are squirrel in an expansive wheel moved by ignorance...

speak for yourself, im happy as hell and satisfied with my system, I have IMO the best gear and have it dialed in really well.  does everything right IMO, the amps where the final piece of the puzzle
