You might call ps audio and  ask if thier power regenerator can do that. Keep it at 60 hz. Good luck with rolling blackouts.

@ghdprentice

There are very isolated instances where folks have really clean power and do not benefit from it.

The Niagara power conditioners stop noise, that is generated from each stereo component, from traveling to the other stereo components, which results in a lower noise floor.

So even with very clean utility power, any reasonably good stereo should benefit from the resulting lower noise floor.

I wonder why some stereos do not benefit from the Niagara?

Perhaps they are using a mass produced power cord?

It is my understanding that the most important power cord, is the one which connects the Niagara to the wall.  That power cord (the right one) is expensive, and there might be some people that do not believe in those power cords being beneficial?

It is also my understanding that for the Niagara boxes, not just any power cord will suffice.  I believe that Audioquest has specific power cords for that critical purpose of powering the Niagara box.

I believe that the correct power cord has special grounding properties, and also contains materials that store energy, which helps when there is a transient demand for instant power.

Any responsible dealer would have told their customer.  It is possible that someone sold their Niagara, and the new owner was not aware that it is important to have the purpose-built power cord, too.

The above are things that I have read about with Shunyata Research's Everest power distributor, and I am assuming that it likely applies to Audioquest, too.

Power conditioning is sometimes helpful but nothing beats a PS Audio power regenerator.

How did you reach your conclusion?

@jrareform

No Shunyata or Synergistic Research?

I have a Shunyata Research Everest 8000/T.  I got the floor model, when the store upgraded to the Everest X model.

My Everest is very good.  Everything sounds better, due to the lower noise floor.

The 1.75 meter, Sigma X XC C 19, power cord was expensive, and approximately half the price of the flagship Omega X XC C 19 power cord.

I got a good deal, but it was still expensive.  But it delivers with the improved sound quality.

Reached this conclusion after more than 60 years of HiFi experience from my first Eico kit in 1958 to my two current systems. I have mostly lived in New York City and environs where electric service is mostly reliable but subject to so many potential disturbances. For years I used various power conditioners and was happy because I didn’t know better. About 10 years ago, I became aware of PS Audio’s power regenerators. The logic behind them was so clear, I had to try. Yes, the Stromtank or battery strikes me as theoretically best, But after that, my experience  with power generation I will never go back to conditioners.

It’s just the music!!! Ask Michael Fremmer.
