Continuous power supply

I’m told that converting my turntable’s power supply from a wall wart to a linear power supply will audibly improve sound quality by reducing noise. Can anyone confirm this claim?

This is not the same technology as in plug-in power supplies. There are excellent integrated switching power supplies, especially LINN, as well as Technics. It doesn’t matter when it comes to you: errors are human.

I have been wondering the same thing regarding my Clear Audio Concept with a Hana ML cart. I've upgraded the wall wort and it is dead quiet.  I would consider changing to Clear Audio's DC power supply. Anyone out there with experience with this table?

In most cases the TT manufacturer's external PS will generate a significant improvement. Currently using a Lingo PS on my Linn LP12.

+1 Yes, you want to use one from the manufacture. They are specifically designed to improve the sound. I have worked my way up in power supplies on my Linn LP12 and each level provided better sound. The changes are in image stability and focus as opposed to tonal balance and details.
