2026 Florida International Audio Expo Feb 20-22

Who's going to the 2026 Florida International Audio Expo (Feb 20-22)?  Our local Suncoast Audiophile Society (also the Central Florida club) will again have a "hangout" in the Shelton Room, and also manning a table near the Cypress Room.  Looking forward to seeing/hearing the latest gear, and chatting with like minded hobbyists, both young and old.

I grew up here in Florida and it was always a Democratic State. It changed with the influx of Midwest Transplants over the last 2 decades or so. They seem to forgotten what made Florida so desirable bringing them here in the first place and turned the state red.

Keep in mind MANY of these transplants utilize our State’s TAX FREE Income Tax Statue and reside here as residents for six months and a day to claim residency so they can access the NO TAXES on Income. I know at least a half dozen neighbors do this. Many then returning to their northern homes only to vote republican via mail in ballots from out of state, not truly reflecting the true balance of the state of Florida.

Realistically Florida is a Pink state so to speak with about 50/50 breakdown of true Floridians.

Here’s the point getting at…

It’s a Audio Show, the creators of the show are not running for office, they’re just putting on a show in a state that as many may not believe is VERY DIVERSIFIED with many not agreeing with how the state is headed or running things.

If you lived here you’d know…

So don’t let someone who probably had zero intentions of coming to the show no matter what kind of state it was change your mind.  If the political landscape here is your reason for not attending the show you really need to do some research and speak to real Floridians and you’ll find it’s not what the press portrays the state to be.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy the show, esp now at the new venue and with the  weather here it sure beats scraping windshields and shoveling snow.

@hilde45  Florida is a deeply problematic state, from a moral and legal rights point of view.

Why? Because we stand up for womens rights? NO males in women sports. No males prancing around in the locker rooms or showers? Women deserve their privacy also and we defend that right. You, somehow, think that's what makes Florida "deeply problamatic". Rediculious!

@gdaddy1 It's problematic for the reasons I listed but someone complained and the post is now gone. It's not hard to figure out.
