Thank you for your response.
I should have mentioned that I use my I pad to store my music.
How to switch from Lumin software to Qobuz Connect
I currently use Qobuz with my Lumin U2 mini with LHY Linear power supply and am happy with the sound of the Lumin. My playlists were always in alphabetical order using the Lumin software with Qobuz. The Lumin recently stopped displaying my playlists in alphabetical order. I have over 40 playlists and alphabetical order was very convenient in accessing the Qobuz music. I have attempted to get it back and cannot. I need detailed instructions which I cannot find. Better yet, it would be great to talk to someone who would walk me through the steps. Would be happy to pay them to work with me.
My alternative is to bypass the Lumin app and us Qobuz Connect. Does anybody know where I could find detailed instructions on how toi accomplish this? I am in Nassau County in New York and would like to hire a professional person that knows to accomplish the above, Not interested in Roon.
@kjl1065 -- what do you mean that you use your iPad to store music? Qobuz is a streaming service -- there is nothing to "store" (unless you pay extra to buy an album for download). Now, there is a Qobuz Connect app for your iPad and other Apple devices, but you use that to control what your Lumin plays from Qobuz. The internet stream from Qobuz goes directly to the Lumin but doesn't pass through the iPad. Think of the iPad as a fancy remote control. |
Dear Mlsstl: You are correct. I should have said I access the music from my I Pad, rather than the word store. When I go into my i pad I see all my music and mistakenly used the word store. I am looking to learn how to use Qobuz connect on my i pad thereby bypassing the Lumin app. I have been unable to find a Lumin customer service phone number or detailed operating instructions. I think Qobuz connect would be my best bet. |
Wishing to update my question. I am seeking to access Qobuz Connect from my IPAD. My PC computer will not be involved with my music. Would appreciate someone's guidance and how to update my playlist which currently is with Qobuz through Lumin. Seeking to bypass the Lumin app and use the Qobuz streaming service through Qobuz Connect. Thank you. |
Have you checked that your U2 mini has the latest firmware version installed? Lumin says your streamer supports Qobuz Connect. Once you've downloaded the Qobuz Connect app to your iPad and signed in to your account with the QC app, start playing an album. At that point, you should be able to click on the player icon and switch output to the Lumin. (Note, while I don't have a Lumin, the Qobuz Connect app on my phone works exactly as described above with my WiiM players.) |
