How to switch from Lumin software to Qobuz Connect

Well, maybe this can help...  I do not have a Lumin, but, I have a Volumio Rivo+.  It also has it's own interface and supports Qobuz Connect.  To use Qobuz Connect, you just need to make sure that your Lumin and your player (iphone, tablet) are connected to the same wifi.  Then, open Qobuz on your iphone, tablet and pick a playlist and song to play.  It will start playing on your iphone/tablet.  Look on the bottom left side of your iphone/tablet display and you will see an icon of what the song is playing on.  Select that icon and you will get a list of compatible devices, ie. iphone, google cast, airplay, bluetooth, Lumin U2 mini....  Select Lumin U2 mini and the music should switch from your phone to your streamer....  At least that is how the Rivo+ works. 

These AI instructions worked for me.

Phase 1: Enable Network Discovery on your PC

For the Qobuz app to "see" your LUMIN, your Windows network settings must be set to allow device discovery.

 * Click the Start Menu and type "Network Status."

 * Ensure your connection is set to Private (not Public).

 * Go to Advanced sharing settings and ensure "Turn on network discovery" is selected.

Phase 2: Configure the LUMIN U2 Mini

You need to make sure the U2 Mini is ready to accept a stream from an external app.

 * Open the LUMIN App (usually on your phone or tablet).

 * Go to Settings > LUMIN Selection > U2 Mini.

 * Scroll down to the "Options" or "Streaming Services" section.

 * Ensure "LUMIN Streaming" or "UPnP/DLNA" is toggled to ON. (In most recent firmware, this is on by default).

Phase 3: Setting up the Qobuz Desktop App

Now, let’s link the two via your PC.

 * Launch the Qobuz Desktop App on your PC.

 * Look at the bottom right corner of the app window—next to the volume slider, you will see an Audio Output icon (it looks like a small speaker).

 * Click that icon to open the "Audio Output" menu.

 * You will see two sections: "Direct Sound / WASAPI" (your PC speakers) and "Network Devices."

 * Under Network Devices, select your LUMIN U2 Mini.

> Note: If you see two options for the LUMIN (e.g., "LUMIN U2 Mini" and "LUMIN U2 Mini [Multi-room]"), always select the standard version for the best stability and sample rate support.

Phase 4: Optimizing for High-Res

Since the U2 Mini is a high-end transport, you want to ensure the PC isn't "bottlenecking" the quality.

 * In the Qobuz app, go to Settings > Streaming.

 * Under Quality, ensure it is set to Hi-Res - Up to 24-Bit / 192 kHz (or higher, depending on your DAC's capabilities).

 * Because you are using the network (UPnP), the U2 Mini will now pull the file directly from the Qobuz servers, bypassing your PC's internal sound card for bit-perfect playback.

Troubleshooting "Missing Device"

If the LUMIN doesn't appear in the Qobuz output list:

 * The "Same Network" Rule: Ensure your PC is on the same subnet as the LUMIN. If your PC is on a "Guest" Wi-Fi and the LUMIN is plugged into the router, they won't see each other.

 * Restart the App: The Qobuz desktop app sometimes needs a "refresh" to scan the network. Close the app completely and re-open it.

 * Firewall: Ensure Qobuz.exe is allowed through your Windows Defender Fire wall.
