Excellent comments by mswale, all of which I agree with and are relevant to my system.
I currently have a whole house wired with Cat5, but to the theater/audio system there are several switches along the way. I plan to run a Cat6 cable directly from the Wifi 6 MESH router to one switch which will connect to 12 units requiring internet in the theater. The router is connected to a good 1 GB modem, 1.2 GB internet service. I have good ceiling access, making this an easy task.
This is a tweak, and I am not expecting a big difference. Why bother? This is a simple and inexpensive upgrade which will also be a step towards future proofing the system when I upgrade the internet service, modem and router.
