No plans to replace my AR9's as I've been happily listening to them for 25 years. I have a pair of KEF R107's for back up if the AR's ever need repair. For the kind of listening that I do anymore, either suit me just fine. A lot less hard rock than I used to listen to, more likely to do Celtic, classical or neo classical these days. I find what I consider to be beautiful music (female vocalists, piano, synthesizer, strings and the like), to be much more soothing in my old age. I still like it loud but not crazy loud like I used to in my youth. I love deep bass from piano, synthesizers and pipe organs and either of these speakers do that all quite well. |
