Atalante 5's

I am still in the hunt for a new set of speakers, previously considering Vandersteen Treo's (https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/considering-vandersteen-treo), but sort of going cold on those for a few reasons. Talking to a very knowledgeable dealer today about my issues with my current QLN 3's, he strongly recommended I take a look at the Revival line, and specifically the 5's. 

Yes, much has already been said about the Atalante's on this site, but let's freshen it up. I have a few big questions:

- I am a low volume listener, 65-70dB, mostly jazz these days. How do these do at low volumes?

- Topmost is, will these overload my 12.5 x 11' room, conspicuously undersized based on Revival's recommendations.

People seem to love the sound, I would be interested to hear from some jazz listeners and low(er) volume listeners to get their impressions.

@oddiofyl Thanks for the comment on Studio Electric. What size room do you have? Do they play well at lower volumes?

I’d look at Chesky LC2

I have the M4 in about a 12x 14 room   They have great bass and they mesh well with the 10” REL sub I have them paired with.  
 

I have a pair of Forte IV in my main room which is a little bigger. I have been thinking about the M5 for that room but I would have to change out amps and I don’t know if I want to go that route

They sound very good at low and normal volumes.   They do like power though.  I had a 40 watt amp drivin them at first and ended up painting them with a 100 watt amp.

Thanks @oddiofyl. I will give him a call this week and get his take. I know that the M4’s are probably the better choice, but I want my three way and no sub, dang it.
 

My amp should cover it, I have had some current hungry speakers and it does well.

@g2the2nd Thanks, I have heard of those, but will take a closer look.
