ronkent - my answer re monoblocks could be misleading. My reference was to a stereo amp bridged to mono. In that case its source impedance drops along with exacerbating problems with low-impedance speakers like Thiel.

However, a single-channel monoblock may or may not have that lowered source impedance. If its source impedance matches its stereo counterpart, then you get all advantages with no disadvantages.

Hi, I have been following the upgraded XO discussion with some interest lately. I currently own a pair of CS7.2, a pair of CS2.3, and two pairs of PowerPlane in-wall speakers.  I traded in a pair of CS2.2 to upgrade to the CS7.2.  I have enjoyed Thiel sound since the early 90's.

it seems that someone has to evaluate the original XO and alternative XO configurations.  I would be willing to lend any of my speakers to the XO review effort if that would be useful.

I live in the Denver, CO area. I am retired and somewhat flexible on my schedule. Where are the XO evaluations being held?
