“ 5V lps” …. Lists the specs needed on the requisite power supply. In tbis case it’s 5V ( “Volts) LPS (“Linear Power Supply” acronym)
For example, all the POS crap build throw-in power plugs are a cheap switch model power plugs. External linear power supplies are an upgrade from switch model power supplies.
Different digital components have different stepped-down voltage and amp requirements. For example, all the POS crummy wall wart power plugs all have their output specs printed on the back of the wall wart plug.
- Many DACs and streamers without an IEC power cord input need step-down power supplies as 5V 3A requirements .
- most Network switches mostly run in the 9V <5A output requirements choices,
- Be careful to match OEM spec wall wart voltage specs to the requisite external Linear power supply specs.
