Kent McCollum, Electrostatic Solutions, outside of St. Louis Missouri is top notch. He restored a pair of '57s I bought in 1974, supplied the necessary shipping crates and turned the work around fairly quickly. It is easily an 8 hour drive, but worth exploring given the quality of his work. I'd opt to ship, given that it is palletized. |
St Louis is easy from Milwaukee..less than 7 hours..around 6.5 last time I made the run(from Racine area, pushing things a bit, but not nuts). If it were me, I'd drive them down. Shipping something like that..could cause more issues than it solves. Take someone with you and down and back in a day(btdt..more than once making runs for things I've purchased over the years). It's only a day, once it's over..it's over. |
