ISO: Carver HR Series and Klipsch KG3 or KG4

Trying to rebuild a system I lost in a moving accident. Original system was an HR-742, a basic Carver CD-Player (don’t remember the model), and a pair of early 90’s Klipsch KG3’s. Will also consider KG4”s. And I’m also open to a Carver CT-17 and a power amp. Just reaching out to see if anyone has any of these they can offer for sale. Also, any recommendations also welcome. Thanks!

JasonBourne - I've strongly considered the TFM

series. I still am. But I'm too impatient to start

going to a bunch estate sales. Wish I wasn't but

I am.

On another note: if anyone reads this and wants

to help me out on this I'd really appreciate it.

Are the new Klipsch speakers garbage? I've never

listened to them. Last pair of speakers I owned

were Klipsch KG3's from the early 90's and they

we're in incredible. The reason I ask is Best Buy is

all but giving them away right now. I've heard just

about every Klipsch speaker but none of the new

ones. Again, any help would be great.

Loki485,

I just now read your post. I happen to have a CT-17 and a TFM25. One owner (me). Both have factory boxes, factory styrofoam, remote, manuals and rack handles. I had the TFM 25 recapped and re-biased at Nelion Audio in 2019. The units have had minimal hours since then as I migrated to Anthem electronics.

I will watch messages. LMK if you are interested in one or the pair. I can then take photos and we can exchange contact information.
