AMT Tweeters integration
Hello,
I'm looking for a pair of floorstanding speakers in the $2500-4500 range. Since they will be driven by a 70-wpc integrated tube amplifier, my options are limited to efficient loudspeakers (ideally above 88db); additionally, I lean towards a musical-warm sound (Sonus Faber, Dynaudio).
Aside from Revival Audio and Dyaudio, most of the speakers I'm considering have AMT tweeters (Dali, Whafedale, etc.).
So, wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to compare both configurations (3-way regular drivers vs 3-way regular drivers plus AMT tweeter).
My main concern is that, at this price range, the integration of the AMT tweeter with the other drivers might not be well executed, and that the overall sound presentation may be perceived as if there were two pairs of separate speakers, one pair doing the low and mid frequencies and a second pair doing the high frequency.
Please let me know your thoughts, much appreciated it,
Thanks,

If you are open to buying used, wait and see if someone will sell you a Aspen FR10 from PS Audio at a price somewhere closer to your budget. https://www.psaudio.com/products/aspen-fr10-loudspeaker?variant=47187108397346 I am not a fan of ps audio electronics all that much, but, their speakers are...quite nice. The ribbon midrange taking over 550hz onwards and the tweeter they have is a treat. Their speakers sound a lot better than a lot of high end junk. If you are in the Denver area, stop by their factory for a listen. A tube amp won't cut it, however.
