Best Value McIntosh Integrated Amps

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I shared a selection of the best McIntosh stereo amps and we had great debates and discussions. This week, I’m sharing another selection but this time around the best price/performance integrated amps from McIntosh.

Curious to hear your thoughts, would you add/remove any from this list? If you own any of these, please let us know about your experience!

I’m curious whether there’s a huge difference or any difference at all between ma252 and ma352 when listening at lower volume. I rarely go above 45 on my 252. With 352 and same speakers, is ma352 going to be louder than ma252 at the same volume setting - or how would one describe the difference 252 vs 352 in this scenario

The 352 and 353 do not sound quite the same at any volume. The 2 is more tuby sounding, were as the 3 is more neutral.

I would think they have similar gain, only the 352 will play 3db louder as you keep turning the volume up. Plus the MA352 gives you the 5 band tone controls.

I like the 252 with my Kantas as they don’t sound bright at all - feels like a perfect match. Totally understand the 352 appeal, though. And if or when I’m no longer able to service my vintage Pioneer amp, MA352 and MA8950 are my top contenders to replace it..
