Just learned about a new podcast from Jay’s audio with lots of discussion about the audio world. The link above is for news about the upcoming podcast. Seems interesting.

Also, he moved to an estate in Texas and apparently it has a really nice pool and apparently there are lots of trees in Texas. Looks really nice wherever he is.

We are doing the show every Wednesday at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.

Join us this Wednesday for our show with Dennis Burger, a partial objectivist from SoundStage!

THE HIFI FIVE EPISODE 7

In this episode we discuss a lot of behind-the-scenes realities:

-- The influence of magazine reviewers, influencers and audio forums to consumers when buying components. We discuss Jay's business, The Absolute Sound's YouTube Channel and What's Best Forum.

-- What role do audiophile consumers play in hiding component problems and helping manufacturers whitewash defective products? We discuss the behind-the-scenes reality of what goes on with hobbyists and manufacturers when components have design defects.

-- Is the traditional manufacturer / distributor/ dealer industry model outdated? We discuss the Rhapsody listening rooms business model versus a traditional dealer network; Joe Cali's Gryphon brand store in Los Angeles; Gary Leed's Hear This and Elliot tells dealer war stories.

The show is entertaining and sometimes instructive. These guys don’t seem to enjoy the business they are in very much. Jay demonstrates some interesting equipment but the poor guy can’t articulate a thought without dropping F bombs all over the place. It doesn’t bother me, but it seems a bit much when you have to make sure your grandchildren are not in the room with you when you’re watching a YouTube video about Audio equipment. plus, that never makes a person sound smart smarter

Nevertheless, it’s certainly worth watching
