Streamers Node Nano vs. Wiim

Hey I just ordered the nano, but I might want to test out the wiim as well...

  • Is the sound quality comparable?

The primary reason is the Wiim has a touch screen.

Thoughts?

TIA

Through my house I have 3 WiiM Ultras and 2 Pro +. All have worked flawlessly with no issues as one described above. For my needs they are exceptional whether being used as a pure streamer with an external DAC or using them “stand-alone” utilizing the internal DAC.  All good here….

I have 5 WiiM streaming products in various sizes and flavors and all work great. The more expensive ones with the better connectivity (obviously?) sound better than the small/cheap ones. I tried the Bluesound Node(s) a few times but the user experience (especially setup) i.e. BluOS drove me mad. After several attempts, I sent the Bluesound stuff back and stuck with my WiiM's. I really like the WiiM App and it has worked flawlessly. Recently, I also acquired an Eversolo DMP-A8 and like that as well. A lot, in fact, especially since I upgraded to a Linear Power Supply. But that's considerably more $$$, of course.

I have found all the WiiM streamers to be easy to set up and work flawlessly. Auto upgrades. Never needed to reboot. No dropouts. I think they all sound great for the price.

I use a WiiM Pro Plus into a Topping D90III Discrete DAC in one of my setups and it’s been great!

I'm looking to swap my Node 2i out with a WiiM Ultra or Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 for a modest family room setup. I have a Topping D90 (AKM chip) I can add with either but am wondering if it will make a big difference? How do the DACs onboard compare?
