Streamers Node Nano vs. Wiim

Hey I just ordered the nano, but I might want to test out the wiim as well...

  • Is the sound quality comparable?

The primary reason is the Wiim has a touch screen.

Thoughts?

TIA

@gkelly - sir, can you direct me to the Innous which is slightly more expensive than the $800 spent on either the Nano or the Wiim.  I’ve looked a bunch of places and can’t find any Innous close to slightly above that price point.  I’d love to upgrade.  Thank you!

I’m very happy with my NAD and Bluesound Powernode. The BluOs system is very easy to use as well.

I have a Wiim streamer. I hate it. It's connected via Ethernet. If it loses the connection or power it's a pain to get it going again. Uninstalling and re-installing app on my phone or iPad. I much care for the connections on the back, not interconnect friendly. Does lots of things that I don't use. DAC is to be as expected for a $200 item and I don't use that either. The sound gets to be sub-par when you have listened to it for a  while then move to another device.

I'll be buying something else soon. Most likely a Node. Pre-owned  higher end streamers are beyond my reach. Besides, a warranty is nice to have. The Node does so much so  little. In Canada, there is nothing at it's price point to match it that I know of.

if going after a quality streamer is a budget problem might I suggest you speak with a financial advisor.
