The $250 power cables and $600 power strip that dethroned my $10k Shunyata Everest

Hello fellow audiophiles. I've been using products from QSA Lanedri who I believe offer the best price to performance ratio on the market today for their power and signal cables. You may have heard of Quantum Science Audio fuses and might even have some installed in your system. QSA Lanedri have perfected this technology/treatment and are now offering it in their power and signal products. The line of products in particular is called Veridion Discovery which is their most affordable line. I currently own 2 Veridion Discovery power strips (daisy chained), 8 power cables, 3 ethernet cables, 1 DC cable. Initially I was sent a power and ethernet cable to try and was so impressed I ordered more including the power strips. I have been comparing their power cables to much more expensive cables from Audioquest and Furutech. I've also been comparing their power strip to my Shunyata Everest power conditioner and found I prefer the Discovery power strip. Infact I'm in the process of trading in my Shunyata Everest and corresponding Sigma X power cable for either a better integrated amplifier or speakers. Once you pair up Discovery power cables with the Discovery power strip things improve dramatically. Not only does audio improve but picture quality and home cinema improves also and will challenge anything at any price. I will say the Discovery line requires a few days of continuous use or "burn in" period before proper evaluation. I compared their Ethernet cables to the likes of Audioquest Diamond and Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 and again preferred the Discovery line. Through the Discovery products music sounds cleaner and clearer with a heightened sense of realism. This also applies to film and TV. Compared to the Shunyata Everest picture quality is now cleaner with more vibrant colours. Motion and panning shots are improved with less stutter. I will add that I have the power strips on Auva EQ CSA1 isolation footers. All of my equipment is sitting on Auva EQ footers which I found were better than the Isoacoustic Oreo footers I had previously. The Discovery products look very basic and don't scream high end but from my experience they can go toe to toe with the best at very affordable prices! They offer a 30 day money back guarantee for peace of mind. Definitely worth a look. Cheers.

@kennyb I  think the attackers are so relentless because users are sharing such positive impressions about effective products that many can afford.

Agree. They aren’t interested in trying the free trial to try, purchase, or even to prove or disprove their unsupported position.

I also agree that those who advocate try audio components on your own system, but refuse to do the same is hypocritical. This is not the same as not being interested in purchasing the product.

I understand the skepticism on how does a metal treatment make a significant positive sonic difference?  I can accept cryo treatment benefits but what changes at the atomic/molecular level does this treatment work on?

We are taught that electricity flows like water, but that’s only an analogy. When I tried to research online how electricity really works, it was confusing so I gave it up

In my reasoning, shouldn’t simply higher purity, monocrystal structure, and a great dialectic be the very best? But Siltech has a few generations of silver cables.

Masterbuilt Cables (not superconducting) were designed as a side job by USA govt superconductor scientists.  When they were released for sale, many on WBF debated on the Masterbuild website, not understanding what was written. Many WBF engineers and scientists debated deeply until the govt scientists answered their concerns/questions.
General scientists or engineers no matter their credentials do not even come close to the knowledge of those in the specific fields.
Also, Masterbuilt TOL cables are an alloy and NOT pure silver, so they obviously know something I do not.

When QSA first came out, they only offered fuses. Looking at the prices:
QSA- fuses 29, 71, 213, 711, 1422, 2844, 5000,10000
Seems like QSA is almost (arbitrarily?) doubling the price per level which felt like gauging. I wasn’t thrilled if the fuse blew, then goodbye $.
Since then, QSA came out with many other products: receptacles, circuit breakers, power conditioning plugs…. I might have tried the receptacles, but Lanedri cables seem a better choice.

I’m impressed that QSA Lanedri uses some well established cables as their base: Iconoclast and the Blue Jeans Cables.  I’m also impressed that they also have Sablon cables who competes with the very top audiophile cables but at much more attainable prices.  Still, after the QSA treatment the Gamma and above lines were pricey.

At AXPONA, they demonstrated their new much more affordable line Discovery. There they swiped cables in and out and maybe everyone (not everyone spoke up, but no deniers) heard the difference and they sold many.

Some look for subjective“value”, which is a comparison to what’s come before.  Seems like a great way to evaluate/control one’s expenditures.  However, proprietary information is often not available to make a valued judgement.  This is true of audiophile cabling and this QSA metal treatment - we will never know.
Everyone is free to not purchase what they don’t understand, but that way of thinking limits options.  “Value” is not really compatible with high-end audio - we pay more for better Sonics.  How does one place a monetary value on a sonic uptick? What is the value of a lower noise floor, or…..

I do use “relative value” when comparing component price to performance vs other components. Extremely important in stretching performance with limited budgets.

Some are also fearful of getting tricked/deceived, so their default thinking is the defensive “it’s wrong until proven right TO ME”.  Although being cautious in this world is wise from being deceived, I disagree that’s it’s best to live overly defensively.

Rather than yes/no, true/false, I look at “PROBABILITY” - If many voices says this action will yield this result, I simply take it as “if I do as they do, chances are I will only likely get the same result”. Nothing is definite. Just like you won’t know FOR SURE unless you try it in your own audio chain to see if you personally subjectively like it and if it’s worth the purchase.
Bottom line - you won’t know until you try.

I do notice a few Agoners are VERY price sensitive/insecure - they quickly resent others who can afford what they cannot.  One Agoner mentioned that his component costs 10k, then was immediately met with “are you bragging?”
I personally make it a point to greatly avoid any jealousy or envy, as the only fruit is negative.
On this forum, I try to avoid stepping on price sensitive land mine Agoners.  But this has led to a dilemma - I just scored my dream and likely end game electronics Humboldt and wanted to start a thread of my journey, but am weary of those sensitive folks.

@milpai

Thanks. It's best to remain calm and of course healthy skepticism is welcome. I've uploaded a picture of the Everest in place and how it used to look. Hopefully this will prove I do indeed own the product. Those cables have been dumped unceremoniously in another room for now. Will begin selling them in the New Year.

Yes, as explained in earlier posts I have an LG G5 OLED on the wall. This is one the best TV's on the market today - you can't possibly tell me it's not up to scratch either. Picture quality looked better to my eyes through the Veridion cables and power strip. This includes movies and games. This is a subjective hobby is it not? One man's relaxed and open could sound muddy to someone else. Or one man's detailed could sound bright and edgy to another etc. Does everyone on this forum have huge listening rooms and abyssal trenches for pockets? If I use more words to describe things YOU don't believe I'm capable of hearing/seeing why bother? I think your mind is already made up, and that's fine. But maybe other users here may find the information useful.

"This is a subjective hobby, is it not?" Indeed.

subjective specifically means relating to an object as it exists in the mind, as opposed to the thing as it exists in reality (the thing in itself). All perception relies on your mind, so your perception of a thing is ultimately subjective.

Now, objective

Something that’s truly objective has nothing to do with a person’s own feelings or views—it just deals with facts.

So, having no subjective opinion on these products yet, I took a look at the company's site and most everything on the WBF about them.

I'm not one to be swayed simply by a gushing opinion, I feel you have to look at something objectively before you can look at something subjectively, makes sense, right.

The more I 'objectively' read, the more skeptical I became.

First, this is unquestionably savvy marketing. And nothing more. Here's why:

Buzzwords: Quantum. Superconducting. Phase smearing. Utter nonsense, but used effectively. If their products worked like how their alluding to, they'd have every physicist on the planet beating down their door.

I say alluding because they cleverly inject the words 'may', 'we feel', 'acts like', etc...

See, that gives them their out. So easy to glean over that when reading a sentence.

Next: Proprietary. Gotta have that secret sauce. Adds that air of unique technolological mystery. They of course can't divulge any more as they're 'looking into' patenting it.

My favorite: Lingering effect!

When they were at I believe AXPONA, the A/B'd their $5 treated cord with a $5 non treated one. When people started telling them they couldn't hear a difference, they literally shut down the testing, then came up with this gem: The effect of the treated cord is so powerful it remains in the system for hours even after being removed!!

When questioned about this on WBF, crickets from QSAL, but a certain member that is also on this thread jumped right in to defend the non answer.

There's more, but that's enough.

So, after being objective and reading all that plus more, I formulated my subjective opinion:

I'm not going to waste my time and 90 bucks on a product from a company that spews unequivocal nonsense.
