@zlone i see, so the first setting with the meters moving very little is the 300 watts operation obviously and the second with the meters swinging is the 5 watts operation I'm assuming. Ok that clears it up actually, thanks. Something I should think could be put in the manual.
Coda no.8 Vu metres question
Ok, so to those who have experience with coda amps, the VU meters have two settings, in first setting the meters are not moving very much and in the second they move quite a bit and at relatively moderate listening levels, with certain music can even flirt with the red. I can only assume the first less sensitive setting is watts? But the second....? Can anyone enlighten me before I start to bother the good folks at Coda?

@zlone yes, great amp, I agree. Currently I'm using a Plinius M16. Quite content with this combo. |
Still looking for any reviews whatsoever on Coda amps (that aren't by StereoTimes who raves about them and is the only review ever I see). Yes, I know, I know, they intentionally don't advertise, don't need to and keep their prices low by not advertising, yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyone have any reviews from any credible source - other than Stereo Times? If the amps are so incredibly good I'd expect there'd be other reviews. |
@speedthrills, do these reviews not count? https://www.stereophile.com/content/coda-technologies-s5-power-amplifier https://www.enjoythemusic.com/superioraudio/equipment/1104/codas12.htm https://www.dagogo.com/coda-technologies-cs-amplifier-review/ http://everythingaudionetwork.blogspot.com/2016/08/ean-audiophile-review-coda-technologies.html |
