Hello all The t66 golden ears are in my living room !!!! absolutely sounding great ! My marantz SR 5011 seems to be working fine so far with these speakers despite comments that it won’t work, However i’m assuming a better amp will produce even better sound yes no maybe ?? Thanks for all the great responses so far

Hi all i’m unsure on what speakers to get i have a marantz sr5011 my budget is 4,000 for floor standing speakers. I found a local deal on some golden ear technology t66 the red ones for$3800. But how do i pick without the ability to listen to other brands kef sonus faber etc!! Is golden ear even good what suggestions do you have on hearing lots of brands under one roof. My listening is 50 percent music 50 percent movies.

@wizzard I’m glad you like them! What color? I’ve had Triton 7s, Triton 2s, still have SuperSat 60s and 3s as well as 4 SuperSub X in my TV room. They are fantastic speakers so fear not. Your SR5011 is more than enough for the T66. It’s only driving the highs and mids as the bass and LFE are handled by the internal subs. |
@nondemo They are santa monica red ! I’m unsure how i would figure out what room treatments i would need ? how do people figure that out? |
