Millisecond delay with Eversolo A6 Master HUGE UPDATE!

Hi, All,

First off thank you to all who have taken the time to respond on both threads I have on this topic...Appreciate you Allyes

So I ended up pulling the trigger on the T8. Got next day delivery on Amazon and with the 30-day trial, what did I have to lose? I could always send it back and then I can see if this unit has the delay issue. And plus, I get to see how it compares to my A6 Master...It arrived Friday, and I set it up Saturday AM. As soon as I got it connected, I left the room and let it play for a good 8 hours without listening. When I sat down, lo and behold the delay was still there - same thing. However, what jumped out at me was the sound - WOW! Now I had just had a sit-down session the night before with A6 Master. I played the same tracks with the T8 and MUCH preferred the T8. It was then that I knew it wasn't going back. Crazy because I did not want to have to go this route, but I could not deny the T8 had much more zest, snap, and had a liveliness to it that was much more pronounced than my A6 Master. Was not prepared for that much of a difference! But it was undeniable...And I had the TP power supply with the A6 Master.

So now I know I'm keeping the T8 so I may as well get comfy and familiar with it because I know it's found its permanent home. I started going through all of the settings and here comes the best part, and @mashif mentioned this, I got to Audio Settings and here is the rest;

Audio Settings:

USB DAC output:

Sample Rate Switch Latency - this was preset to 0 it goes to 2000. I raised it to 350, and voila NO MORE DELAY! I tried playing a bit bringing it back down to under 100 (it does state the lower the better), and as I brought it down on certain tracks the delay was there, not all but some. But now I knew I was on the right track...Long story short, I am at 259 and NO MORE DELAYS!!

I'm not sure if the A6 Master had this setting if it did that would have been the fix. But I'm not going to find out because the T8 ain't going anywhere!

I'm just absolutely GIDDY! Much as I didn't want to have to uproot and spend the $ on the T8 and have to sell the A6, how can you not love a win win like that, right? And the T8 truly blew me away across the board, looks, sound, ease of use, no more delays!!

@docwong there is a fix with the T8!

Many sincere thanks again to All! The only head scratcher is why didn't Eversolo mention this setting in their email reply to me? But who cares, I am wicked friggin excited with my new toylaugh!

Thanks @elliottbnewcombjr! Good call, I will reach out to Eversolo about this as this issue seems pretty common to many out there...

I would recommend contacting Forte Distribution for any Eversolo owners in the US.

I had an ongoing issue and other problems like dropouts.  Eversolo China gave me the cold shoulder when I asked for an RMA.

Fast forward a year plus later , I was confident it was hardware not FW and reached out to Forte.  They looked into my past communication and realized Eversolo dropped the ball.  Turned out it was a bad board.    They did the stand up thing and took care of it.

So thanks to them, although it still won’t recognize DAC via USB it is stutter / dropout free.   Hopefully USB will be fixed at some point via FW

Thank you @oddiofyl , I just sent an email to Forte on the link you provided and have reached out to Eversource as well letting them know this issue is fixable...

I believe they are sincere about representing the brand well here in the US

Just weird that they (Eversolo and Forte) are not aware because this seems to be a pretty prevalent issue.

*Eversolo, not Eversource above*
