I’ve had them tested and they are usually between 3-7 DB louder and the speakers themselves run 25% cooler temperature during long play times
I’m surprised nobody’s asking about these points? 3-7dB is quite a wide range, but extremely significant even on the small end. This seems almost beyond belief. How is that possible (broadband; not just a resonant peak), just for a change in cabinet wall material and not overall volume / dimensions? And how was this measured + verified?
Then on the cooler temps - how did you measure this, and where? Voice coils? Though if you’re really running 3dB more efficiently, that alone should account for cool running.
These are bold claims, deserving of far more than just a "drive by" number dropping.
Finally on the cabinets themselves - more prototype / model pics would go a long way. Acora was name dropped, and their cabinets look like serious high-end because of the quality of stone, fine polished finish, and faceted design (sort of like a large gemstone). That, and there has to be some well-considered integrated damping to keep the granite from ringing like it otherwise does. Then Acroa puts in really nice drivers (ScanSpeaks) and does a fantastic job on the crossovers & voicing.
