I listen to CD's 100% of the time. I have over 1000 classical CD's. I do not see the point of paying to rent music I already own, I have a Weiss Engineering Jason Transport and a Berkeley Audio Design Alpha Reference DAC. It is important to me to physically own the software and informative packaging without complicating things with streamers and internet connections.

Happily listening to a Michi Q5. I stream too, but one day Tidal or Qobuz may go out of business, or fall out with record companies, etc. Support your artists who are living and buy physical media, and for those who are passed on, buy used CD’s. They are a perfect medium, don’t wear out like vinyl and you own them. Darko and Cheap Audio Man have a couple of good videos on YouTube why CD’s are still surging in 2025. |
Never thought of that. I like it

I still listen to CDs, even more so now, as I find that there is still more information on them to get. I still listen to LPS, always have, but the ease and convenience, together with the sound quality of CDS make me purchase much more of them, including SACDs. Also stopped purchasing 45RPMs, for the most part. I bought several, at basically $150.00 a crack or more, and I never listen to them. |
