Your favorite obscure song

Another one is:

Wotan's confession to his daughter Brunnhilde in Act II, Die Walkure by R. Wagner. A man confesses his sins to his daughter, bitter and introspective. Soon to be a "coming out of nowhere" classic.

Another great underappreciated track from the same opera is "Wotan's Farewell". It closes the opera in a veil of sadness . A little schmaltzy, but riveting.

Yeah, that Al Stewart album is great.

Bet he sold at least a dozen of them. I have a first pressing (really!). So relevant for the day. 

The guitar picks at the beginning (just before "They crossed over the border...) are sure to straighten or curl your hair either way depending on what you have now.

When I need some cheering up, I listen to the second best track on this album: "Terminal Eyes". Does the trick every time.

I've heard the CD (or was it the download?) sounds even more amazing.

To me brilliant song beginning to end. Putting in the CD now...

It really was his best album, his peak.

Just as unforgettable is "Mr. Customs Man" (or whatever the title is).

"Flying in over the pole,

Cruisin' in to Los Angeleze, (or something like that)

Bringing in a couple of keys.

Don't check my bags if you please Mr Customs Man".
