Who here continues to regularly use a CD player?

My serious listening is via CD. FM is enjoyable for my for casual listening and to sample new music. 

Use a Jay's Audio Transport to a PS Audio StellarGold DAC through a Concentus I2S cable. 

When I moved from NYC to Philadelphia, I made the painful decision to not drag a lifetime of carefully collected records and do away with the time-consuming pre-rituals associated with record listening on my Linn LP-12. So far, I have resisted renting the right to listen to music via streaming. I prefer to own the right to listen to the music. I do not rent my audio system, so why would I rent the music it is dependent upon?

75% Vinyl - 25% CD. Have 2 CD players that are sonically contrasting but both are "long in the tooth". Hopefully in 2026 a replacement will combine the strengths of both players that will bring my play ratio closer to 50/50.

For those of us who collect trad jazz, cds and vinyl are both essential.  Streaming has very little for us.  I am anxiously awaiting the next release of V-disc big band music due out in just a few weeks on Mosaic.  All new Mosaic releases are on cds.  Having cd players is cornerstone equipment for me. 

Yes, I have a nice collection of SACDs that I play along with my music server and reel to reel.
