@bigtwin ,
Surely you jest!
I’ve practiced Hatha Yoga for years using various Asanas which Asanas are the physical postures of yoga, which can include standing, sitting, reclining, stretching, and inverted poses.
Originally referring to a ’seat’ for meditation, the term now broadly applies to any yoga posture and is practiced to improve strength, flexibility, balance, focus and mindfulness. Asana practice prepares the body for meditation, promotes physical and mental well-being, and is considered a key component of Hatha and modern yoga traditions.
I know this is not a surprise to you but there are many a older folk here on Agon who don’t get around as good as they used to and a few have even passed on, so I would postulate that some, not all - may actually practice chair yoga! Hey, even my own town’s library which is about two walking blocks from my place has/offers free chair yoga classes!
Sitting in a chair contemplating, and quietly listening to music for a period of time can be considered a form of yoga! And guess what? Dancing and jamming to music can be considered a form of yoga also! Who’d a thunk that!
Remember, it’s not nice to make fun of the elderly.
