Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

Earl Klugh-Whispers And Promises Side 2 SQ*

Diane Schuur & The Count Basie Orchestra Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Herbie Mann-Monday Night At The Villager Gate Side 1A

Weather Report-Heavy Weather Side 1

Lambert, Hendricks & Bavan-Basin Street East(LSP-2635) Side 1 SQ*

Blue Mitchell-Summer Soft Side One SQ*

George Benson-In Flight Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Rare Silk-New Weave Side A/B SQ*

As noted earlier Fusion Jazz was tonight's theme. Played 4 vocal and 4 instrumental including the highly mocked flute! Have many Klugh recordings this might be his best. Played both sides of New Weave which is an all time Fusion Jazz favorite of mine. The SQ crown will go to the master George Benson which was mastered by Doug Sax with no digital edge. Diane Schuur is a great digital recording on par with Brothers In Arms, the OG has braille on the front jacket. Maybe a Japanese pressing of Heavy Weather could get it closer to Audiophile SQ status?
