Favorite Streamer/DAC combo under 3k?

I agree with the Eversolo T8 and McIntosh DAC combo recommendation. 

I'd get an Eversolo T8 + a Denefrips Ares or Pontus for the win.

I think I want one box just for the simplicity. I don’t see any used McIntosh DAC for sale… I do have a MA252 and JBL 100 Classics.

Hmmm maybe I’ll try the T8. I have a McIntosh C2800 with the DA2 DAC. 

I can also say the T8 is a great dedicated streamer for the price.  I'm using the I2S connection which provided better all around fidelity to the USB.  USB is no slouch it's just in my system I preferred the I2S better.
