Mikevanloo,  There are not many recognized experts  on the care and feeding of vintage Japanese DD turntables. The only two I know of, JP Jones of Fidelis Analog and Bill Thalmann of Music Technologies in Springfield VA, have either retired from the business (JP) or passed away (Bill T). I would not know what to do if any of my 4 DD TTs developed a problem with electronics.  However, the vintage DDs use quite a few electrolytic capacitors in their circuitry.  If you are lucky, that is your only problem.  You may be able to find a tech who will replace the electrolytics or at least test the ones in your unit and replace the defective ones.   Same goes for any solid state devices in the circuit.  I know nothing at all about your particular unit, but the fact is that a bad capacitor can lead to damage to one or more of the solid state components. Perhaps someone else here can suggest a person to work on your TT.  For this, you might want to start a new thread, or search these archives for previous threads on this subject.

Review on the internet states sounds as good as the Pro-ject TT

Amazingly, Pro-Ject makes more than one model of turntable.- more than 13 lines in fact.  The prices show a range of more than 30 to 1.  There are several models in the entry T series.

I note you seem to be a slow leaner - you have been corrected on how to spell you're which is an abbreviation of you are.  Your means belonging to you.

What about the PLX-1000 DJ table as a starter table?

I prefer the TT from Acoustic Solid myself.
