Technics SL1200G cables and headshell choice

Hi all,

I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a new SL1200G.

Now I’m in the search for a light headshell with azimuth adjustment. Im intrigued by wooden ones but im a bit lost since not many reviews are available.

For example:

they all weights 8 grams more or less.

cartridge im using at the moment is Hana ML.

Do you reckon that wood is a good material for the headshell? I dont mind a warmer sound.
 

Im also looking for an high quality phono cable with good shielding and low capacitance, as for the power cord. 
for the headshell im willing to spend not more than 150 euro and for the cablea im fine to buy second hand, budget is 200 euros top.

The LP Gear Zupreme is the one I settled on myself.  I have maybe 10 of them in my box.  They weigh 13-14 grams.

Korf ceramic headshell lover here with my 1210G. BTW there is enough wiggle once the headshell is tightened to adjust azimuth so a separate adjustment on the headshell isn't really essential in my experience.

Clarification is in order here for owners of G series turntables.  The LP Gear Zupreme was the head shell that I had settled on and used until earlier this year when I discovered that it weighed too much and the combined weight of it plus the arm resulted in the resonant frequency measurement being too high.  This was only discovered when I started using AnalogMagik software.  Again for clarity, I have discovered this problem on 4 cartridges so far, two MC and two MM.  For this reason I stopped using the Zupreme head shell and urge caution to others here not only concerning the Zupreme, but any head shell weighing more than the OEM head shell.  So far that is every one that I have actually checked.

The stock headshell is well engineered, low mass and brings the cartridge closer to the LP surface- critical for shorter height cartridges.
