I am surprised no comments. The Fluance RT-85 TT has ,2% wow and flutter that some can hear, The Pioneer is .1% wow and flutter that no one can hear. Owning a Garrard 401 there is not much difference using he Pioneer and the system used an upgraded tube amp with best tubes and Revel M22 speakers that are incredible. So no problem hearing details. I owned poor sounding tonearms thus can state the Pioneer Tonearm is excellent. I suspect the Pioneer will equal a Pro-ject T2.
Low Cost Turntable - Incredible Performance
I highly recommend the Pioneer PL-30-K Belt Drive Line Output Automatic Turntable. Amazon offers for $400 but new in box are $299 on eBay now. I owned higher-end TTs and I can say this TT sounds as good. It is not well known compared to other brands, Replace the low end AT3600 cartridge though. A bonus is it is fully automatic. IMO you cannot go wrong with this purchase.
