Vinshine X Collaboration with Kinki Studio, TheTai Hang power enhancer

What a surprise after installing the Taihang in my system,, in a word, amazing.  Stage depth clarity was amoung one of the first things I notice.  My system consists of tubes pre and power amps, with a digital and analog front end.  Tubes as we know exhibit a second harmonic noise distortion which is a given and something we live with as it’s our perception as being more musical.  Dirty power can add more nastiness to this by way of unfiltered AC.  With the addition of the Taihang it has made all the background information much more clearer.  My speakers are fairly high resolving so was able to take advantage of this additional gain the Taihang give me.  Leading edges from instruments started and stopped more precisely still retaining musicality. Black background noise seemed non existent as we like saying but in this case it really does without straining to not hear.  So clean power can do all this, seems to be!  Also will mention as in some cases experienced with power amps, I sensed no loss in dynamics or compression which is one of the biggest concerns when implementing such products.  This in my first day of listening.  So again I’ll go back to my original statement, amazing!   Alvin’s collaboration as he calls it, has some magic inside this beautifully crafted box.

I sold my Puritan Audio Laboratory PMS 156 Power Conditioner and Puritan Audio Laboratory Ultimate Power Cord and pulled the trigger on a Vinshine X Kinki Studio, TheTai Hang power enhancer. I have a spare 聖HIJIRI Nagomi power cord and was wondering if anyone has used these two together and if so, how did they sound together? 

I have a 聖HIJIRI Nagomi power cord with my LTA Microzotl MZ3 integrated/preamp and the synergy is/was outstanding even from first plugin. The LTA Microzotl MZ3 is tube based and I was surprised at the noticeable increase in gain along with all the many other sound qualities that have been discussed about the 聖HIJIRI Nagomi power cord.

I had a full loom of Nagomi PC a few years back on my Dac and Tube Pre which sounded very good but keep in mind those cables are tuned in the midrange region and does not have the tight deep bass impact you would want on a conditioner.

@wig Thanks man! I saw the Furutech DPS 4.1 and FI-50 NCF plugs earlier today at VH AUDIO. I even stumbled across the Furutech DPS 4.1 Power Cord with FI-50 NCF Plugs power cord DIY build instructions! What power cords are you using on your dac and tube pre these days? And while I have you here, what interconnects and speaker wire are you using now also?

I'm using DPS 4.1 with NCF on all of my components and Jena Labs Symphony interconnects, AES/EBU and speaker cables. Currently burning in DIY Jena Labs 18 Ga Cryo for my low current Dac and Pre with outstanding results; better clarity and a more expansive soundstage.

We recommend pairing the Taihang with high quality power cord. 

 

We always use full loom of Exact Express cables in our demo room, and Hifi shows. The synergy is another level.
