Poor FM Reception

( am not too far away from FM stations but reception is poor. Two tuners with FET front end, it is not the tuner. I think house covered with solar panels blocks the signal. A Terk AF-1 amplified is very poor antenna. Radio Shack tunable antenna coming soon to test. Also ordered the 300 ohm twin lead 6 foot antenna and an amplifier to try. May be forced to install outdoor antenna.

I am a Ham Radio operator. There is no interference from the solar panels and It would show up much greater on the lower Ham radio frequencies,

I live in a remote area where there's few stations and the only operate on 5,000W daytime and 500W at night. Those expensive Term antenna's are no good but I found an amplified rabbit ear after trying 4 other antenna's for my vintage McIntosh MR-71 tuner that works great. Home Depot online. $18 free shipping. It is a NAXA

PS - I am not an expert but I think it's the INVERTER in a solar power set up that causes the RFI, not the panels themselves.
