Vinshine X Collaboration with Kinki Studio, TheTai Hang power enhancer

What a surprise after installing the Taihang in my system,, in a word, amazing.  Stage depth clarity was amoung one of the first things I notice.  My system consists of tubes pre and power amps, with a digital and analog front end.  Tubes as we know exhibit a second harmonic noise distortion which is a given and something we live with as it’s our perception as being more musical.  Dirty power can add more nastiness to this by way of unfiltered AC.  With the addition of the Taihang it has made all the background information much more clearer.  My speakers are fairly high resolving so was able to take advantage of this additional gain the Taihang give me.  Leading edges from instruments started and stopped more precisely still retaining musicality. Black background noise seemed non existent as we like saying but in this case it really does without straining to not hear.  So clean power can do all this, seems to be!  Also will mention as in some cases experienced with power amps, I sensed no loss in dynamics or compression which is one of the biggest concerns when implementing such products.  This in my first day of listening.  So again I’ll go back to my original statement, amazing!   Alvin’s collaboration as he calls it, has some magic inside this beautifully crafted box.

@rrboogie , Amps in the wall, separated digital from analog with two units.  I had 3, one for amps but found they do better direct to AC.  Sold one off actually to wig.  Bought them early from Alvin before all the prices escalated.  It’s money very well spent even before ultra expensive power cords which I found can impede on the original sound coming from the unit itself plugged into.  None of that with the Tai Hang other than a silent background.

@daytrader  So to be clear you preferred your amp(s)   direct to wall outlet vs into TaiHang?

I have four AC dual electric plugs along my stereo wall.  Each amp has its own plug, then one outlet for digital and one for analog.  Each T/H has its own outlet.

Each amp runs 8.0 A.  I know Alvin’s Power Enhancer runs 15A/Outlet & 60A/Total so one unit will run both amps but after trying the 3 units I didn’t hear any real improvement having the power amps running into the T/H, maybe because they are tubed based?  More dynamic on their own.

Different story on the front ends, I like the idea of separating digital from analog, thus both have their own T/H.

To be clear, amps directly into wall outlets with no Power Enhancer.

I decided to order a second Tai Hang. My plan is to plug my First Watt SIT4, Pass Labs XP20 and ifi iCan Pro headphone amp into it. Currently, I have the preamp plugged into Tai Hang #1 along with streamer, DDC and Dac. When I move the preamp to Tai Hang #2 I’ll plug the router in its place.
I’ll report my findings in a few weeks and compare the Tai Hang to an original Audience AR 2P that the SIT4 and iCan Pro are plugged into now.

Just got tai hang. Got it to plug in domestic computer network devices such as NAS WiFi router and network switched to improve the sound as my synology ds720+ Nas served music and runs lyrion server. Wow. This thing is built like a vault. Really nice. Sounds incredible. Didn't know it would make this much of difference. Music sounds so natural, spreads apart, relaxed. Was thinking about replacing the holo red streamer to much more expensive one but nah. I don't need that for now. This is good enough for my ears. Everyone go get one and try it out.
