High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

@rauliruegas with all due respect I have to disagree as to high passing the speakers at 100hz. That approach will cause problems with the sub integrating with the speakers. This may be a good approach for home theater set up, but not two channel audio. Been there done that, many times in fact. At 100hz you definitely will hear your sub and will be able to localize it. But to each his own. As I have said, certain amps work very well with those speakers and some just don't. It's simply an issue of proper, quality amplification. My sub is perfectly integrated with the speakers and you would not say I even have a sub in the system. That is until I turn it off. It took quite a bit trail and error.

The Bryston Cubed series- specifically the 7B and 28B double from 8 to 2 ohms although their advertised rating stops @ 900 into 4 ohms. A talk with the principal James Tanner will confirm this.  (owners of specialty HiFi products are surprisingly accessible)

You can get a pair of 7B SST mono blocks for 4-5K these days. That's a LOT of amp for not much money.
