High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

Have you looked at Pass?  I have an X 150.8 in the stable (which is up for sale because my speakers are 93dB) and it's a beast with high power but also quite a bit of subtlety and refinement.

@yyzsantabarbara You say that the Wotan is as good as the Coda No 8 as if it's a fact.  I don't think everyone would agree with that.  I've read reviews on the Wotan. It's ok if you like it as much as the Coda No 8 in your system with your speakers, but that may not be true for other people.  At $2k, the Wotan is obviously less expensive and that may be exactly what someone wants.

Old designs but both the 300 watt and 600 watt Sunfire amps double down to 2 ohms if I recall correctly

I’d recommend Pass. When I got my first Pass amp in 1980… it was the first high current amp I owned… and one of the first ever made. The X series double into 4 ohms and probably 2. They are high current designs.
